In Good Hands?
It is beginning to look like I am not having a good day! So I choose my blog to complain about it. Well, I do have to get the dumb stuff off my mind. Okay, you see the image that goes with this blog post. I know you've seen it before. It's very popular. However, I will not mention any names. All I can say is that we are not in good hands.
We had a disaster over the weekend. The hotwater heater busted. Time for a new one. Well I thought we should be covered so I tried to put in a claim, which didn't work out. I had to wait to get in touch with our agent. I called and left a message on Saturday. I did not speak with anyone until today, Tuesday. To make a long story short, come to find out that our policy does not cover this kind of emergency because it is a mechanical problem. Yeah, that's what I was told. However, if we had a fire, flood or theft, we'd be good to go, be in "good hands." All I can say is stupid clauses. I could say more, but I won't because if I did, I'd be writing a book and this is just a blog.
Right now, I am feeling like those poor folks stuck between a rock and a hard place during Katrina. You think you are going to get some relief, but relief doesn't come.
It doesn't matter how much money you spend to be covered year after year, it is like it goes down the drain during an emergency, giving money away freely month after month and years upon years. I am floored, because this isn't the first time, we called upon them in an emergency and couldn't put a claim in because of dirty little clauses of what and what not is covered. That's why I am walking around here with a sour looking face today; that and because it's snowing like the dickens right now. We are about to get bombarded with snow.
I said all of that, but the show must go on....so I will survive all this, even if I have to boil water for the next couple of days until we can get a new hotwater tank. All I can say is..........you don't miss your hotwater until it is all gone.
