Winona Rasheed

 I am a writer/author of books for children and teens. However I like to say my books are a good read for both the young, old and those in between. I love writing short story fiction because I get a chance to let my imagination go wild.

 

I am also a freelance writer and an entrepreneuer, whereas I edit, rewrite and sometime create an entire manuscript for clients when they call upon me and my writing/editing business called Dream Writers' Essentials. I love being able to work from home because I am not much on dealing with five o'clock traffic, which is murder in Washington DC. And as far as freelance writing and working for a company to produce a one thousand word article; all I can say is I love the challange of beating deadlines and choosing articles that appeal to me. It seems as a writer, there is always something to do, rather you are doing it for yourself or  for someone else.

 

As a writer, I also enjoy blogging; actually, I am getting carried away with it because I have quite a few to keep up with. The only thing I can say about that is I love chatting and expressing my thoughts, so I have different portals to play around with. I guess what I am doing is getting my name recognized in cyberspace. I just  pray that people aren't seeing too much of me because I am all over the place. I put my name in the search engine once and lo and behold, pages and pages of stuff on Winona Rasheed; cyberspace following my every footstep and keeping an account of it. I'm not sure if that is good or bad.

 

I enjoy being on Facebook, blogging, RebelMouse, Google Plus and Twitter too. Having followers is awesome. These are the biggest places on line to promote my books and myself as a writer/author and trust me....I love to promote.

 

Other little things about me is the fact that I love to cook, shop and I love gardening. And oh yes, I love my oldies but goodies music. I'm getting "Jazzy" up in here. By the way,  I am also crazy about Betty Boop. With all that being said, all I can say is that I am some kind of Gal !
